Arte en la Esquina
Impulsados por la Mision de "un lugar de pertenencia," la Comunidad de fe de El Buen Pastor abrio sus puertas y le dio la bienvenida a el Vecindario. Inspirados por su hermoso Santuario y por el Soul Café deala lado lo hace un lugar perfecto para recitales, para mostrar y exhibir Arte, para eventos y conciertos, asi nace la idea de Arte en la Esquina. Apoyados por la gente de El Buen Pastor y por unos cuantos dedicados a la Comunidad y con una mente defensora de los Artistas, el Arte en la Esquina empezo ofreciendo programacion exelentes en el 2005.
Corner is a community-based nonprofit arts ministry of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd located on the northwest corner of Fourth Avenue and Bay Ridge Parkway, where local, city-wide, and international artists have performed and shared their art with the communities of southwest Brooklyn for the past 12 years. Through Good Shepherd, Art on the Corner provides a venue for artists to share their work with all ages in the community through its numerous programs, such as CONCERT SERIES, JAZZ NITE, Art Classes for Children, and Art/Wellness for Adults. Art on the Corner also aims to make the arts accessible to the community and the community accessible to the artists by maintaining affordability and utilizing Good Shepherd's ADA compliant space.
